This weekend I attended the World Premiere of Smurfs: The Lost Village. I wasn’t sure what to expect, as it was my first one EVER! But I have to say that I had SO much fun!
Upon arrival, guests are greeted with music, laughter, and so much to do. It was like a carnival, that included food, dancing, tons of activities for the kids and of course the big kids inside us (wink wink).
The Food
What was really interesting about the food at this event is that every vendor there modified it to the smurfs theme.
For instance, Hot dog on a Stick had blue hot dogs on the inside of their corn dogs. A bagel place had blue bagels with cream cheese, peanut butter & jelly, or turkey. Desserts included blue ice cream, blue shaved ice, and even blue cotton candy! (Of course I couldn’t eat any of it, but I lived vicariously through my kids).
The Activities
As soon as we walked in, both of my kids ran over to the ‘Dunk A Smurf’ booth. Remember those? One person sits on a bench over a tub of water (in this case it was soft balls), and another person throws a ball at a target to try and knock them off the bench.
There was also a big mushroom bounce house that looked super inviting. I mean, they should make some adult time to jump around in there, right?
Other activities included face painting, balloon animals, temporary tattoos, Smurf Toss, and so much more.
The Blue Carpet
The carpet was the most fun I’ve ever seen. (Well, aside from the rainbow carpet that was at my Celebrity Red CARpet Event!). It mimicked a big part of the journey for the smurfs, the river. Check out the video of me walking it here.
Immediately following the festivities, they had multiple showings of the movie that included a drink and popcorn.
Don’t forget to go and check out The Movie opening in theaters April 7th!
