Why Kyo-Green Helped My Gut

Saarah · April 19, 2018 ·

I’d like to take a minute to be real about my greens.  I have to admit I don’t always have them every day (shocker I know).  It’s not to say I don’t like them, sometimes I’m simply out of them, and other times (which is super rare) I don’t have the stomach for them.  Sure, you can cook up some peas and asparagus with dinner, which is still better than no greens – so don’t get me wrong there.   But to truly embrace the powerful punch greens have, like plant sterols, you’ve got to eat them raw (or close to it).

Why are greens important?

Greens are super important for the body. Not only do they provide protein, but they also offer immune support. Greens are rich in antioxidants, support healthy cell function, aid in sustaining energy, aid in fostering a gut-friendly balance and so many other benefits (you catch my drift, right?).

While this is true for just about every green veggie that exists, not every green vegetable is created equal.  Some have more protein that others.  Some have more antioxidants.  Other greens can be a better aid in digestion.   Sounds like an amazing dream food.

Well, it’s not a dream food, these greens do exist and are wonderful for the body.  They’re even more wonderful when they can be more readily bioavailable.

What does Bioavailable mean?

Bioavailable refers to the degree and rate that nutrients can enter the blood stream so that they are readily available for your body to use.

If your body, particularly your gut, is not operating at an optimal level then the greens you’re ingesting could possibly not be absorbing properly and effectively.   This can cause deficiencies in many nutrients your body needs to eliminate toxins, function properly, and even nourish the cells in your body.

How great would it be to be able to take a supplement or mix something in your meals and drinks that have these greens already bioavailable?

ENTER KYO-GREEN.

What is Kyo-Green?

I know what you’re thinking, how is this even real?  Well it is.  There is this company called Kyolic and they created a few different blends of greens and created a line called Kyo-Green!  These green blends can be added to your morning protein routine, coffee, smoothies, juices or even simply water.

These green mixes include organic and naturally sourced ingredients that give you a super high-quality blend of bioavailable nutrients.

Two of my favorites are the Harvest Blend and the Greens Blend.

Sprouts Blend

The sprouts blend is perfect for someone like me who constantly needs gut and immune support (Did you know that 70% of your immune system is in the gut?).  This blend offers gut support by providing your body with the proper prebiotic fibers needed for th good bacteria in your gut to thrive.    I put a scoop of this in my morning protein drink, and if I don’t have my protein drink, I make some homemade lemonade sweetened with monkfruit or stevia.

Greens Blend

This greens blend is perfect for someone that needs immune support.  The Greens aid in balancing the intestine bacteria as well as provide loads of antioxidants.  Antioxidants basically aid in gathering all the yucky free-radicals in your body and eliminating it.

Each type of blend comes in either a big size bottle, or on-the-go packets for you to take with you.   Make sure to head on over HERE to get a little more info and to purchase your convenient, bioavailable greens.

The opinions expressed here are all my own. I was in no way persuaded on anything covered in this article. This is a sponsored post and I was paid for this collaboration.
