Stash Your Food with Stasher Bag

Saarah · November 17, 2017 ·

Being someone who has food allergies and intolerances, taking my food-on-the-go is inevitable.  Whether it’s taking my food to a trade show, a business meeting dinner in a restaurant, or even on an outing to a theme park like Disneyland; I’m always preparing food to take.

Now, not only am I cautious with the food I take outside, I’m always cautious about what I put my food in as well.  I always cart it around in either a glass or stainless steel container. The reason is that I don’t want to use containers that could potentially leak BPA, or phthalates into my food.  Let me tell you, they have been quite amazing to use and offer a nice sit-down setting for me.

Now I have a third option to take my food on the go!  That is where Stasher bag comes into play. WOOHOO!

What is it?

Stasher bag is a re-usable food-grade silicone bag, that when sealed, is completely 100% sealed off. You can literally put water in that bag, seal it up, and drop it in your purse without the fear of spillage.  Pretty amazing, right?  It’s super flexible and can fit in so many different purses/bags as well.

Since this bag is completely sealed, food can also be prepared in it. From Guacamole, salsa, to even making baby food. Yep. You read that right.  Not only can you use these bags to store and cart your food, but you can also prepare and cook your food in it! (One less dish to wash, right?)

How can I use it?

These bags can be put in the freezer, fridge, boiling water, in the oven, and even in the microwave (which I personally don’t ever recommend putting anything in a microwave).

I also use Stasher bag for my meat/poultry when I come back from the store. For instance, if I get a family-sized package of chicken, I can store some of it away in a Stasher bag in the freezer for later use, versus storing it in a disposable plastic bag.

Lucky you!
