Its finally fall weather in Los Angeles, and you know what that means??!?! Holiday giving and fun! Included in that fun was a Celebrity Stuff-A-Thon hosted by National Parenting Publication Awards (NAPPA) and L.A. Parent Magazine! This event benefited Baby2Baby, a non-profit organization, that supplies Los Angeles families in need with essential baby gear (like diapers, wipes, clothing, etc) for children up to age 12.
I was there representing Ali Landry and Favored.by (a mobile app we’re working on to launch in April 2014) and was welcomed with open arms on the red carpet. It was really nice to be there to help out families in need, and always leaves us feeling grateful for everything that we have.
There were other awesome brands there like Daddy Scrubs (who provided the bags) and Happy Family Brands (who provided many baby & toddler snacks for the bags).
Some of the celebrities that helped out were Leigh-Allyn Baker, Candace Cameron Bure, Mechelle Epps, Patricia Kara, Challen Cates, and a few others.
The event was a fun day of mingling, conversations, and assembling gift bags for the families in need. There were about 200 gift bags that needed filling. About half of them were filled with baby products ( diapers, wipes, lotion, pacifiers, bottles, books, and clothes ) and the other half with toddler products ( books, clothes, puzzles, food, a toy, and sippy cups ). There was such strong enthusiasm surrounding us when we filled the bags that they were ready to go in no time!!
It’s honestly so nice to see these types of events take place, and even more participating in them. I can’t wait for the next Stuff-a-Thon!!
