The Benefits of Dead Sea Salts

Saarah · August 3, 2017 ·

I wanted to share something a little personal with you all, and I have to tell you that it’s quite embarrassing. It happens to the best of us, and can particularly happen when you have an active lifestyle. Backnie. What is Backnie you ask? Well, remember those pesky breakouts you had in highschool? Or even those breakouts you had during pregnancy (*raises hand*). Well, these are breakouts that happen on your BACK!

They can make wearing dresses, tank tops, and even fitness ware pretty embarrassing.

So, there you have it, I confessed that I get backnie. It’s gross, and I’m super self-conscious about it, but you know what? I own it. I still wear my fitness tops, and in the event of a breakout, I find some cute tops to help cover it. Plus, the fact my hair is long can really help make light of this situation (by helping to cover it up).

ENTER Mineara Dead Sea Salts.

At Expo West this year, I came across this San Francisco Salt Company, that not only had salts for food, but also had salt soaks! One in particular, the Minera Dead Sea Salts. I chatted extensively with this company, and the benefits of this salt on the body, and one of them was in fact skin conditions such as backnie. Of course, these salts help with smooth skin, detoxification, and loads of other skin ailments. But I was on a set course to help my back breakouts, especially since I’m becoming more and more active.

But of course, as a mom, we really don’t get that much time to take a bath and soak, let alone time to poop. BUT I discovered that you can also use this as a scrub in the shower! Hop in the shower, soap up your body, and then take a small scoop of the Minera Dead Sea Salts and rub it on the problem areas. Now, please note that a little bit goes a long way, and if you use too much, your skin will sting a little bit.

So, I tried it out, and after 24 hours, the really painful part of my breakout had calmed down. JUST after 24 hours! I then proceeded to use it three times a week as a scrub, and then once a week soaking in the tub.

My Results

Check out these results after THREE WEEKS. My really bad breakouts have almost subsided. Mind you, I was still exercising throughout the three weeks.

DAY ONE:

DAY TWO (just 24 hours later):

AFTER ONE WEEK (two soaks, and two scrubs):

AFTER TWO WEEKS (two soaks, four scrubs):

I mean, can you believe this?!?! I use it as a facial scrub (beware it may sting a little), and a body scrub from now on.

Other Benefits

Aside from the clearing skin, the dead sea salts have quite a few other benefits as well, such as:

  1. Aids in skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, dandruff, and much more
  2. Helps decrease swelling
  3. Encourages detoxification of the body
  4. Increases blood circulation
  5. Replenishes minerals essential for cell metabolism
  6. SO MUCH MORE !!

AND I’m so happy, that I want to give one of my lucky readers a chance to win a bag of their own!! Head on down to the entry form below and enter to win your very own bag! Don’t forget to show me some social media love, as well as the San Francisco Salt Company!
