Getting GROOVY in Joovy’s Ultralight Stroller

I’ll be the first to tell you that I always wondered why the heck moms and dads got umbrella/convenience strollers.  I’ve pushed around my nieces and nephews and other people’s kids around in umbrella strollers, and I always thought why people wouldn’t get a bigger, more comfortable stroller…. until I had a kid.  Don’t get me wrong; I love my luxury stroller and my jogger.  I use them ALL the time.  BUT something was missing… yep…. whenever I needed to do a quick errand, I needed something easier for me to carry…  ENTER umbrella.

SO, I gave into the umbrella/convenience stroller hype…and boy, am I impressed with the wave of umbrellas coming out.  One of which is the Joovy Groove Ultralight Stroller, and was given the chance to review it from Joovy (Thank you Pam!) and I have to say…was I wrong about umbrella strollers.

The Joovy Groove Ultralight Stroller is 12 lb and it isn’t dinky! It has a reinforced frame that is super sturdy, and is spacious for an umbrella, both for my little guy, and the little storage basket underneath it.  This baby can hold up to 55 pounds! It has a back that you can recline, an over-sized canopy, cup holder, zippered pocket, and a 5-point harness system.

Tires are really important for an umbrella and these tires are a really good size.  Now, they aren’t meant to handle rugged terrain, but they actually do pretty well on the grass, dirt, and bumpy roads or sidewalks.

The seat itself is cushioned for comfort for my little guy, and it has an adjustable foot support that can fold out for little ones, and then fold down for bigger kids.  And then the bigger kids have a lower rubber footrest that is at the bottom.

The stroller has two points that click to fold with an auto-fold lock, and one point to click when you unfold it.  Super easy to fold away and ultralight to carry.  It even has a carry strap.

Just check out my happy little guy in this one!

I was not compensated for this review. I was provided the stroller from Joovy.
