Wanting to have pancakes for yourself (or per your kiddos requests) every morning can be both laborious and unhealthy.   Additionally, we are coming into an age where there are more food allergies than ever imagined and alternatives are popping up everywhere.   That being said, if you’ve ever wanted a “healthy” version of pancakes, well here they are!  These pancakes have only TWO ingredients, are super easy to make, AND are Paleo, Gluten-free & Dairy-free. Facebook Messenger’s Hidden Messages!

As if we aren’t already annoyed that Facebook continuously changes the rules for messaging.  First it’s a completely different app – which I’m still getting used to.  And now, those messages that people send you outside your squad… oh that’s right. You don’t know about them because they’re HIDDEN. I found out about them when I’d had a few moms contact me from mom groups.  I personally had thought “what message?” and that mommy brain caught the best of them….

9 Beautiful Last Minute Gift Ideas for Mom

It’s 4 days until Christmas, do you have all of your Holiday Shopping done?   I get it… once Halloween hits, it feels like Christmas just kind of creeps up on you!  It sure did for me!  Not to fret though, as there is still time left to get that special lady in your life just in time for Christmas.  AND no, I’m not talking about that “something” you may have overheard her say she MAY like to try out or…

What’s Your Fight Song?

I came across this clip from Ellen, and it really struck a cord with me. Being a person going through some serious postpartum depression/anxiety, sometimes each day can feel like a struggle and a continual uphill battle.   But there are moments in the day that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and its videos like this that truly make me realize what I should be grateful for.   There are so many people with their own…

Jimmy Fallon’s Whisper Game Challenge Done Right

Since Jimmy Fallon has become a dad, he’s had some pretty amazing spoofs, jokes, pictures, and stories.  One of his challenges he has set out for expecting parents (and even as just a fun game) is “The Whisper Challenge”.  In this game, one person wears noise cancelling headphones, and tries to figure out what the other person is saying. This couple decided to challenge their parents with their pregnancy announcement.  This is super cute.  I mean, I had to go…

Keep Your Nose Clean with Oogiebear

Have you ever gone to a playground or a play date and see a child (or two) with a big dry/slimy booger just hanging there; a booger that you would pull out yourself if it were your own kid. Yes, they are gross. BUT, they’re something that happens to the best of us.   I mean, better out than in, right? Or how about when it’s your own child and you’re rushing to get a wipe or something that can fish…

7 Tips to Getting Your Child Sleeping Through the Night Sooner

One thing I wish I could have is a sleep savings account, where you can sleep for days on end before the kids are born. I mean, how great would it be to be able to save up sleep minutes that you can grab from later once the kiddos are born? Well as great as it is to live in dreamland, facing the reality that our bodies just don’t do that, us mommies (and daddies) need some pretty sound advice…

The Teal Pumpkin Project

It’s that time of year, where there’s pumpkin everything, colder weather, Halloween parties, and of course, tons of sweets. For most of us, it’s an exiting time of year for sugar highs, and togetherness. For others, it’s the time of year to feel left out and awkwardly different; particularly for your little ones. Why? Because there are some little ones that have terrible food allergies and can’t eat most things that are handed out for Halloween. OR, some of us…

Knott’s Spooky Farm 2015

Once those pumpkin flavored everythings start popping up, it means that it’s time for fall. Living in SoCal, that’s one of the few ways to know that seasons are a changing (since all we seem to be getting lately is sunshine). Another exciting thing that pops up is Knotts Spooky Farm! I was given the opportunity to enjoy a day with my family at this spook-tacular adventure. The Spooky farm is the kids version of the adult’s Knott’s Scary Farm….

6 Things I learned at MiLK – an Infant Feeding Conference

Today I was able to take part in attending MiLK – an infant feeding conference put on by the lovely ladies of MommyCon. It was a first for me, as I’ve never really attended a learning conference about a topic so near and dear to my heart. I mean, when you have your first born, you take the delivery classes, and maybe even a CPR class…and you just might also take a class on breastfeeding.   But what you don’t learn…
