CTA Techlicious Event

..A few weeks ago, I had the honor of attending a CES Tech Review with CTALA and Moms LA at the Video Audio Center in Westfield Century City.   I joined 40 other influencers to learn about some of the innovative technology that was presented at CES that is now hitting the shelves.   I was seriously impressed by some of the technology that was presented.   Here is what I saw: *Photo Credit MOMSLA Sony Bravia A9M TV The first thing I…

ALOVE-ly Greek Dish!

I always like to explore new things that are outside of my comfort zone, and cooking is no different. Exploring different options for recipes are what I’m known for. I usually have to modify a good percentage of them due to some of my food sensitivities; and one dish I’ve always wanted to make was a good old fashioned Greek meal! I’m Egyptian, so there is a lot of overlap with the Mediterranean foods, but the tastes differ slightly.  …

You’ll Only Go Nuts for the Twitter Party!

Did you just read that?!?  What the heck did that mean?  Well, let me tell ya.  I am going to be hosting an amazing twitter party alongside a brand called “Don’t Go Nuts”.  The entire purpose of their line is to cater to individuals who have severe nut allergies. The founders of this company are parents who had a child with a life-threatening nut allergy.   If you or a loved one has such a severe allergy to a particular food,…

Why Kyo-Green Helped My Gut

I’d like to take a minute to be real about my greens.  I have to admit I don’t always have them every day (shocker I know).  It’s not to say I don’t like them, sometimes I’m simply out of them, and other times (which is super rare) I don’t have the stomach for them.  Sure, you can cook up some peas and asparagus with dinner, which is still better than no greens – so don’t get me wrong there.   But…

Enhancing the Immune System with Plant Sterols

With the on-set of food allergies, compromised immune systems, and illnesses overpowering vaccines, we could definitely use a little more immune support.  Have you ever wondered why autoimmune diseases and inflammation are on the rise?   The causes of that can simply be endless. Which I won’t even get into because that in itself can be a long-winded discussion about the lack of FDA regulation and lobbyists.  But I won’t go there, and want to have this conversation veer towards a…

Detox The Body With Enviromedica Bentonite Clay Bath

The new year usually brings on New Year’s Resolutions and even a plethora of detox and cleansing routines.  I’m not a fan of resolutions (because I feel that you can change any time of year, not just Jan 1st). However, I am a BIG fan of detoxing, and in fact believe you should be in a continuous state of detoxification every week. Detoxing the body can be done in so many ways, from cleanses to massage, sauna, infrared sauna, exercise,…

Spending Holiday Dead Week At LEGOLAND

What do you do for the deadest week of the year with your kids?  You know, that week after Christmas but before the new year?  Schools out, some offices are closed, and even if you’re working it’s super hard with your kiddos wanting to go out and do something. This year we spent one of our days at LEGOLAND California.  To be honest I was a little worried that it would be super crowded, but it really wasn’t that bad…

Holidays at LEGOland are Brick-tastic!

Last week the family and I had an AMAZING time at LEGOLAND California’s annual #HolidaysAtLEGOland . The entire park transforms into a beautiful holiday wonderland filled with holiday trimmings and decorations. They even welcome the jolly old man himself, LEGO SANTA!!! The Activities We started our journey from the front and enjoyed a few coasters, a few games, and of course made our way up to the playground. The walk ways were lined with Lego Christmas trees, and wreaths on…

Stash Your Food with Stasher Bag

Being someone who has food allergies and intolerances, taking my food on-the-go is inevitable.  Whether it’s taking my food to a trade show, a business meeting dinner in a restaurant, or even on an outing to a theme park like Disneyland; I’m always preparing food to take. Now, not only am I cautious with the food I take outside, I’m always cautious about what I put my food in as well.  I always cart it around in either a glass…

Put A Little Methyl In Your Folate

I wanted to get real with all of you, and let you know a little secret that a lot of vitamin companies already know.  Lots of the folic acid (or folate for short) that you find in supplements are a synthetic version of folic acid.  So, what does that mean? It means that you could not be metabolizing folic acid properly, and are not only wasting your time, but your money as well. Additionally, a whopping 70 percent of people…
